New Scarf
Asperud
I have two new patterns out: Asperud and Hellekindset. They're both from my collection Knitting from Søndre Nordstrand, and are named for places in this area of Oslo. Asperud is a simple lace scarf in fingering weight yarn, while Hellekindset is a stranded colourwork beanie with Norwegian motifs.
I've also written an article in Norwegian about how participation on "Natteravn" citizen patrols can help immigrants integrate, create a feeling of safety in public areas, and increase collective capacity. Even if you don't believe that Natteravning can prevent crime, there are still good reasons to join these weekly patrols.
